Citizens Fiber is collecting non-perishable food items during the months of July and August to support the Westmoreland Food Bank. Please consider donating if you are going to be stopping by our office.
All donations must be non-perishable. This includes canned or boxed items, juices, pasta, canned meats, sauces, vegetables, prepared foods, etc. Donated items need to have the original manufacturers label. Westmoreland Food Bank is unable to redistribute any items missing this label. They also must be free from any obvious defect or contamination. This includes popped tops or bulging lids, as well as visible mold or rust on cans or bottles.
The most requested items are peanut butter, cereal, boxed meals such as mac and cheese or hamburger helper, hearty canned soups or stews, canned our pouched tuna, chicken or salmon.
